This scholarship gives students a £1,000 tuition fee discount in their first year of postgraduate study. It is automatically applied to offer-holders ordinarily resident in countries the OECD designates as receiving official development assistance. In 2023, this includes Bangladesh, Ghana, India, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Please see the full list of eligible countries at the bottom of this page. Postgraduate international scholarships are for taught degrees and research programmes are not eligible. Awards are made at the discretion of St Mary’s University. Only offer holders who are successful in securing a scholarship will be notified within six weeks of receiving their offer of study. Please note that scholarships are awarded on a rolling basis. Candidates who apply for their programme of study early may therefore have a greater opportunity of success. All international scholarship offer holders agree to represent St Mary’s University as an ambassador throughout their degree programme. Ambassadorial activities may include providing testimonials or content for social media and other marketing activities, and participating at University Open Days or international promotional events (in-person or virtually), subject to class timetabling and availability. |
