These £5,000 stipend scholarships are available to new undergraduate students in physics and astronomy for the academic year beginning autumn 2025. They’re intended to help well qualified students to study Physics and Astronomy at Southampton University, and to build greater inclusivity in our academic community. There are 10 scholarships available – 5 based on merit, and another 5 for applicants who meet widening participation criteria. They are renewable for subsequent years of study (subject to the applicant’s continuing academic performance) for up to £20,000 total.
